Charlie VanDercook
Co-founder of Future Stars camps, Charlie was the original Director in 1980. He played tennis in high school, college and the 1976 WATCH circuit and then started teaching tennis in Lake Placid, NY. Charlie is also the former Director of Tennis at Banksville Racket Club, Westhampton Bath & Tennis, Hampton Athletic Club, and Green Hollow Tennis Club, and is currently a partner in Armonk Tennis Club and Armonk Indoor Sports Center.
Bill Griffin
Bill partnered with Charlie and Future Stars in 1995. He played HS and College tennis and following graduation from Boston College in 1977, he became Director of Tennis at Larchmont Yacht Club for 28 years. During that time he directed several of Westchester’s finest indoor junior tennis programs at Sound Shore Indoor Tennis, New Rochelle Racquet Club, and Harbour View Racquet Club. Bill played the early professional platform tennis circuit and also coached at several Westchester Country Clubs. He popularized After School Tennis Clubs in the 80’s and is currently a partner at Armonk Indoor Tennis Club and Armonk Indoor Sports Center.
Jordan Snider
Director of Operations and Director for Purchase College for the last 15 years. Jordan has also seen the camps from the perspective of being a camper when growing up. He graduated from Rollins College with a BA in Psychology, and also has an MBA from the Stern School of Business, NYU. Jordan was an NCAA Tennis Championship winner during his collegiate years. His Business and Sports experience make him uniquely qualified to direct programs.
Dana Soriano
Full time office employee and VP of Camp Operations. Graduated from Pace University with BA in Communications. Dana is able to use her skills to assist parents and customers with all aspects of the camp process and also acts as liaison with new business venture within the company. She also runs the Purchase Camp office during the summer.
Danielle Marino
Director of Advertising and Marketing. Danielle graduated from Manhattanville College with a BFA in Fine Art / Graphic Design and a minor in Communications. She went back for her Masters and received an MAT in Visual Art Education. Danielle does the graphic design work and brings 8 yrs design and ad agency experience. She has also coached/played Field Hockey for several years.
David Stapleton
Site Director for all programs at SUNY College at Old Westbury. He graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1999. He brings over 10 years of experience in youth coaching and summer camps and previously NOGA Soccer. David is UEFA, USSF, & NSCAA certified Soccer coach who actively coaches on Long Island and is a staff coach for the LIJSL Coaching Academy.
Sara Dorfman-Masone
Sara is the summer Office Manager at SUNY College at Old Westbury and assists in all aspects of the summer program. She graduated from Binghamton University in 2006 and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Education at Queens College. Sara is a Special Education Teacher in Queens and has played/coached Lacrosse for numerous years. Summer 2011 will be her 4th year with Future Stars.
Andreas Lindberg
Andreas helps oversee all aspects of the various sites that encompass our Hampton's programs. He was a former standout student athlete at Southampton College and has many years of coaching and playing experience from the youth to collegiate levels. Andreas is a certified Soccer coach and currently is a head coach for the Met Oval US Soccer Development Academy team.
Kerri Breen
Kerri is the summer Office Manager at Farmingdale State College, and assists in all aspects of the program. Kerri is a graduate of LIU-CW Post, and is an elementary school teacher at Maria Regina School in Seaford (NY). Summer 2011 will be her 5th year with Future Stars.
Pamela Morrison
Pamela is the managing director of the Future Stars Tennis Club. She has 25 years experience as manger of health clubs, tennis clubs and day camps. Future Stars is very proud to have Pam and her vast knowledge and background guide and oversee all of our camp programs.
