Multi-Sports Camp at Old Westbury

Future Stars is excited to offer Multi-Sports as one of our core summer camp programs. Summer 2012 at SUNY Old Westbury will offer eight weekly sessions.

9:15 am Core Sport I (Baseball / Basketball / Soccer)
10:15 am Core Sport II ( Lacrosse / Tennis / Volleyball)
11:15 am Rec Sport I ( Dodgeball / Kickball / Nukem)
12:15 pm Lunch
1:15 pm Recreational Swim
2:15 pm Core Sport III (Flag Football / Golf / Softball)
3:15 pm Snack / Team Events / Scrimmages

Ages 6-16 Boys & Girls June 25 - August 17

The program is designed to be the perfect blend of sports, recreational games, and camaraderie, with campers ages 6-16 participating in a multitude of exciting, fun-filled games.

The curriculum is designed to be fun and instructional, and includes age appropriate skill building activities. Campers will follow an exciting daily rotation, which will include swimming and a variety of sports and games. Directors, coaches and counselors are highly trained, experienced professionals recruited from all of the best recreational and educational programs in the area.

Campers learn all the fundamentals with which to build a solid sports foundation. They are taught proper technique, strategy, and sportsmanship with the same philosophy that has been the Future Stars trademark for over 30 years.

Sports and games will include: Tennis, Soccer, Basketball, Baseball/Softball, Lacrosse, Volleyball, Track & Field, Golf, European Handball, Kickball, Dodgeball, Nukem, Flag Football, Badminton, Table-Tennis, Touch Rugby, Bocce, GaGa Ball, and more!

Multi-SportsSUNY College at Old Westbury is a wooded 604 acre campus centrally located on Long Island's picturesque
North Shore.

Clark Athletic Center outdoor facilities include FULL ACCESS to Jackie Robinson Baseball & Softball complex, 8 all weather Tennis courts, 6 hitting walls, 4 full-sized training fields, 4 Basketball courts, outdoor Volleyball courts, mini-tennis grass courts, and more!

 

Clark Athletic Center indoor facilities include FULL ACCESS to Olympic sized heated pool, 3 full gymnasiums, 4 racquetball courts, Panther Pride video and recreation area, weight room, cardio gym, games room, newly renovated locker rooms, athletic training room, and more!

Campus Center facilities include air conditioned cafeteria, Maguire Theater, Recital Hall, classrooms, and more!

GaGa PitAdditional Future Stars camp specials include The Big Kahuna Inflatable Waterslide, The Quad Soccer Inflatable Sports Arena, The Future Stars Soccer Golf Course and GaGa Ball Pit!!!

Door to door transportation is available throughout Nassau County and beyond by arrangement.

Director Dustin SheriffDIRECTOR:

Dustin Sheriff returns for the 6th year to direct and oversee all aspects of Future Stars Multi-Sport program in 2012. Dustin is a Physical Education teacher and Athletic Director at Bedford Academy in Brooklyn and brings a wealth of teaching and coaching experience to Future Stars.

Dustin earned his Master's degree in Phys.Ed from Adelphi and is actively involved in coaching several sports throughout the year.

Director Josh Tate

Josh Tate returns to Future Stars Multi-Sport program for the 6th year in 2012. Josh is a Physical Education teacher at the High School of Arts & Technology in Manhattan, and graduated LIU-CW Post with a degree in Physical Education. Josh also completed his Master’s through the University of Pennsylvania with a focus on Personal Training, and actively works with young athletes throughout the year in a variety of sports-specific programs. Future Stars are fortunate to have an experienced teacher and dynamic role model such as Josh to work with our campers in the Multi-Sports program.
