Future Stars is thrilled to introduce Rugby as one of our NEW sports-specific summer camp programs.
Summer 2010 at SUNY Old Westbury will feature and offer one weekly session.
The Rugby program is designed to create an atmosphere that encourages and develops players aged 7-16 to reach their full potential.
The Rugby program is an exciting new sports camp dedicated to the 'Development of youth through Rugby'. Rugby is a fast moving, continuous, dynamic, and all inclusive sport with players actively involved at all times. Future Stars have partnered with 'PLAY RUGBY USA' to deliver a fun non-contact program, which will be led by qualified and experience youth Rugby coaches. Campers will learn from Rugby's rich history and tradition, with teamwork, sportsmanship and respect key pillars of the game.
Transportation, Lunch & Daily Recreational Swim Included.
Program will cover understanding of rules and game terminology through FUN Rugby themed games. Practices will cover Passing, receiving, Evasion, Attacking, Defending, Kicking, Space & Support. Team-work and Sportsmanship are emphasized daily.
SUNY College at Old Westbury is a wooded 604 acre campus centrally located on Long Island's picturesque North Shore.
Clark Athletic Center outdoor facilities include FULL ACCESS to Jackie Robinson Baseball & Softball complex, 8 all weather Tennis courts, 6 hitting walls, 4 full-sized training fields, 4 Basketball courts, outdoor Volleyball courts, mini-tennis grass courts, and more!
Clark Athletic Center indoor facilities include FULL ACCESS to Olympic sized heated pool, 3 full gymnasiums, 4 racquetball courts, Panther Pride video and recreation area, weight room, cardio gym, games room, newly renovated locker rooms, athletic training room, and more!
Campus Center facilities include air conditioned cafeteria, Maguire Theater, Recital Hall, classrooms, and more!
Additional Future Stars camp specials include The Big Kahuna Inflatable Waterslide & The Quad Soccer Inflatable Sports Arena!!!
Door to door transportation is available throughout Nassau County and beyond by arrangement.
Future Stars have partnered with Play Rugby USA to deliver a first class Rugby camp. Play Rugby USA is a national youth development program (“The Program”) pioneering the development of youth through Rugby, providing children with a fun, unique and inspirational educational experience through the innovative coaching of Rugby. The Program helps children develop character, athletic ability, fitness and academic commitment, giving them the tools they need to succeed in life.
