Future Stars is thrilled to introduce Flag Rugby as one of our newest sports-specific summer camp programs. Summer 2012 at SUNY Old Westbury will feature and offer one weekly session.

The Rugby program is designed to create an atmosphere that encourages and develops
players aged 7-16 to reach their full potential.
Rugby camp is an exciting sports program designed to teach the fundamentals of Rugby and instill team ideals in the players. Rugby is a fast moving, dynamic and all inclusive sport, and campers will take part in a fun non-contact program developing skills and heightening their Rugby awareness. Campers will learn from Rugby’s rich history and tradition, with teamwork, sportsmanship and respect key pillars of the game.
Program will cover understanding of rules and game terminology through FUN Rugby themed games. Practices will cover Passing, Receiving, Evasion, Attacking, Defending, Kicking, Flag Rugby Skills, Space & Support. Team-work & Sportsmanship are emphasized daily.
SUNY College at Old Westbury is a wooded 604 acre campus centrally located on Long Island's picturesque
North Shore.
Clark Athletic Center outdoor facilities include FULL ACCESS to Jackie Robinson Baseball & Softball complex, 8 all weather Tennis courts, 6 hitting walls, 4 full-sized training fields, 4 Basketball courts, outdoor Volleyball courts, mini-tennis grass courts, and more!
Clark Athletic Center indoor facilities include FULL ACCESS to Olympic sized heated pool, 3 full gymnasiums, 4 racquetball courts, Panther Pride video and recreation area, weight room, cardio gym, games room, newly renovated locker rooms, athletic training room, and more!
Campus Center facilities include air conditioned cafeteria, Maguire Theater, Recital Hall, classrooms, and more!
Additional Future Stars camp specials include The Big Kahuna Inflatable Waterslide, The Future Stars Soccer Golf Course, GaGa Ball Pit and The Quad Soccer Inflatable Sports Arena!!!
Door to door transportation is available throughout Nassau County and beyond by arrangement.
Stuart Love brings over 15 years of teaching and coaching experience to the program, and will direct and oversee all aspects of the Future Stars Rugby Camp. Originally from Scotland, Stuart brings a wealth of Rugby playing/coaching experience, and is currently a Physical Education teacher in the Bay Shore school district. Stuart holds a BSc in Sports Science & Coaching from The University of Edinburgh and an MA in Physical Education from Adelphi University, and has implemented and taught Rugby units for players aged 7-17 in recent years.
