The Soccer program is designed to create an atmosphere that encourages and develops players aged 6-16 to reach their
full potential.
Throughout the week campers will cover all facets of the game including technical, tactical, physical and psychological concepts. The training methods will aim to foster the players love for the game using a progressive curriculum building from individual skills through small-sided challenges and ending in match conditions. Director and coaches are experienced and qualified individuals who work with various Long Island Soccer clubs on a year-round basis in addition to their school soccer and ODP commitments.
Future Stars Method
Practices will cover Dribbling & 1st Touch, Short & Long Passing Techniques, Shooting & Finishing, Attacking Principles, Defensive Roles, Possession, Game Understanding & Movement Off The Ball, Goalkeeping, and more! Daily skills contests may include Speed Dribbling, 1v1 Ladder, Shooting Challenge, Juggling Contest, Goalkeeper Drills, and more! Team-work and Sportsmanship are emphasized
Goalkeeping
Goalkeeping sessions will be offered for those campers who wish to focus on the technical and tactical elements of Goalkeeping. Coaches will conduct training drills and exercises which are designed to improve footwork, handling, shot stopping, kicking, distribution, angles and positioning. Goalkeepers will utilize their training daily in game situations
Team Training Discounts
Future Stars Soccer Camp is an ideal pre-season opportunity for teams as they gear up for the new soccer season. Teams will be trained as a dedicated group with an assigned coach and the team coach can request a team evaluation at the end of camp. Call for information on team discount packages.

North Shore.
Clark Athletic Center outdoor facilities include FULL ACCESS to Jackie Robinson Baseball & Softball complex, 8 all weather Tennis courts, 6 hitting walls, 4 full-sized training fields, 4 Basketball courts, outdoor Volleyball courts, mini-tennis grass courts, and more!
Clark Athletic Center indoor facilities include FULL ACCESS to Olympic sized heated pool, 3 full gymnasiums, 4 racquetball courts, Panther Pride video and recreation area, weight room, cardio gym, games room, newly renovated locker rooms, athletic training room, and more!

Door to door transportation is available throughout Nassau County and beyond by arrangement.
Eric Schmidt returns to the team and will direct and oversee Future Stars Soccer Program in 2012. Eric is a former member of the Hofstra Pride Men's Soccer program and is a certified Physical Education teacher. Eric is an active coach in the Long Island Soccer world, working with various club teams in addition to his coaching duties with the ENY ODP program and his role as Varsity Coach at MacArthur HS.
Craig Newman returns once again for the 4th year in 2012, and will lend his coaching experience and expertise to Future Stars Soccer program. Craig is currently the coach for the College at Old Westbury Women’s Program in the Skyline Conference, and has over 10 years of youth coaching and soccer camp experience.
SITE DIRECTOR:
Future Stars College at Old Westbury Site Director David Stapleton also lends his expertise and experience to Future Stars Soccer program. David holds coaching qualifications from UEFA, NSCAA & USSF, and is a staff instructor for the LIJSL Coaching Academy who deliver Coach Education Courses to Long Island Clubs. Additionally, David actively coaches during the year and is the Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at LIU-CW Post, and also coaches with the Long Island Roughriders Youth & Y-League programs.

FUTURE STARS GUEST APPEARANCE:
Future Stars Soccer campers were fortunate to have a special guest in attendance during Summer 2011. Joseph Tavernese who played for FC New York in the USL Pro division visited to interact with the campers and work with them to help develop their skills. Tavernese was a former DI standout student-athlete at Siena, and was coached throughout his club soccer career by Future Stars site director David Stapleton.
