Southampton Little Stars Camp

Future Stars is pleased to offer Little Stars as a specialty summer camp for young children.

Summer 2010 at Southampton Rec Center will feature and offer eight weekly session's. The program runs from 9:00am-2:00pm although an extended day program to 4:00pm is available.

The Little Stars program is designed specifically for children aged 3 1/2 - 5 looking to meet the diverse needs of these campers.

Little Stars is a gentle blend of sports instruction, swim lessons, arts & crafts, recreational games, music, and tenderness. Director's and staff are education professionals with vast experience working with children of pre-school and elementary school age. Additional coaches from Future Stars sport specific camps complement the staff throughout the week dependent upon the scheduled activities.

Field Sports
Our daily sports program introduces campers to an action packed line-up of sports and games. Each period includes age-appropriate instructional skills and recreational activities. Campers are introduced to Soccer, Basketball, T-ball, Flag Football, Lacrosse, and more!

Little Stars Swimming
Little Stars offers a fun-filled total swimming program featuring instructional and recreational sessions. Our Water Safety Director and licensed instructors are trained to help children enjoy and master the water.

Arts & Crafts
Campers will experience a variety of creative projects, including paint, clay, plaster of paris, papier mache, jewelry, T-shirts, kites, and masks.

Music
Music and songs will be an integral part of the camp experience.

Weekly Specials
Carnivals, treasure hunts, scientific surprises, petting zoos, nature discoveries, bouncing castles, and more will be enjoyed every week!

Facilities:

BaseballSYS opened up its doors to the 55,000 square foot facility in June 2003 with the name Southampton Town Recreation Center.   The facility is a world-class athletic facility featuring world-class equipment and world-class services and the facility is one of the top sports and recreation facility in the United States.
During the year a broad array of activities has flourished within the Center and since the Summer of 2004, Future Stars has been providing the Summer Camp programs.    

SYS outdoor facilities include several playing fields, Baseball diamonds and swimming pool.

SYS indoor facilities include  Center Rink (90 x 135 sq. ft.)    Basketball  (lined for college play  94x50 ) , Soccer , Lacrosse, Roller Hockey, Tennis etc. The center rink has batter boards and netting for safe uninterrupted play. Elmaleh Stanton Squash Center -4 Singles Courts and 1 Doubles Courts. Blue Court & Red Court (84x 50 sq. ft.) -Basketball (lined for high school play) Volleyball and Recreational games. Cages Room  - 2 batting cages: baseball/softball Elevated Track - 1/7 of a mile. "A" Green Room (1,600 sq ft.) - multi purpose room. "B" Red Room (600 Sq ft.) - multi purpose room. Aerobics Room (800 sq. ft.) Men's and Women's Locker Rooms - showers, bathrooms and lockers.

DIRECTORS BIO:

Kerri O'Keefe will be returning for her 4th season as director of Little Stars at Southampton Recreation Center. Currently, Kerri is a 4th grade teacher at the Child Development Center of the Hamptons. Kerri has her Masters in Education and taught kindergarten in NYC for 5 years.Baseball
