Cheerleading Camp at Farmingdale

Future Stars is happy to introduce Cheerleading as one of our NEW specialty summer camp programs. Summer 2012 at Farmingdale State College will offer one weekly session.

The program is designed to develop confidence, skills and teamwork for girls aged 7-16.

Cheerleading camp is a dynamic fun filled program combining dance, jumps, tosses, cheers and chants for campers aged 7-16. Whether you are a high school cheerleader looking to ignite your school spirit or a total beginner, our curriculum is designed to develop motivation and leadership. Campers will learn the latest stunts, pyramids and cheers in a safe and fun environment.

Facilities:

BaseballFarmingdale State College is located on 380 lush acres in the heart of Long Island.  It is easily accessible from the Northern State, Southern State and LIE as well as most North and South shore locations along the Nassau Suffolk border.

The outdoor facilities at the college include 6 NEW all-weather Tennis courts, a 20 station Golf driving range, as many as 8 Lacrosse/Soccer fields, Softball field, state of the art Baseball complex, NEW turf field, 1/4 mile track, hitting wall and numerous shaded recreation areas.

The indoor physical education and athletic facility named George E. Nold Hall encompasses 94,000 square ft.  The main gymnasium consists of 3 regulation Basketball courts, 5 Volleyball courts, 4 Tennis courts, indoor track and seating capacity of 4,000. The facility also includes 4 Racquetball and 4 Squash courts, Golf simulator, large weight training complex, modern state of the art training room, men’s and women’s locker rooms, showers
and lavatories.

Baseball Christine Farina will once again direct and oversee Future Stars Cheerleading program, devising the curriculum, as well as training all summer staff coaches. Christine is entering her 10th year as Head Coach for the 2012-13 season at Hofstra University. A four-year member of the Hofstra Cheer team, Christine was captain of the coed squad earning many awards, including Most Dedicated '97-'98, '98-'99, Outstanding Jumper '98-'99, and Most Valuable '97-'98, '98-'99. Among her most recent achievements, she led Hofstra to the 2009 UCA Small CoEd Division 1 National Championship in 2009. Christine is also a head cheerleading instructor for the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) , as well as being AACCA-certified with additional certifications in Safety, First Aid
and CPR.
