The program is designed for girls aged 11-17 of all levels to develop and improve the necessary skills and concepts of the game to reach their goals.
The Volleyball program is for girls of all levels of play, novice to elite, and campers will be grouped according to age and level. Experienced coaches from the collegiate and high-school ranks will oversee all aspects of the program to ensure a challenging and rewarding experience. Players will benefit from intensive drilling, personalized instruction, and competitive play. Fundamentals will be reinforced daily in a positive, enthusiastic, constructive environment. The program is appropriate for girls interested in learning the game and preparing for middle school teams through to those players fine-tuning their skills ahead of the high school season.
Farmingdale State College is located on 380 lush acres in the
heart of Long Island. It is easily accessible from the Northern State, Southern State and LIE as well as most North and South shore locations along the Nassau Suffolk border.

The outdoor facilities at the college include 6 NEW all-weather Tennis courts, a 20 station Golf driving range, as many as 8 Lacrosse/Soccer fields, Softball field, state of the art Baseball complex, NEW turf field, 1/4 mile track, hitting wall and numerous shaded recreation areas.
The indoor physical education and athletic facility named George E. Nold Hall encompasses 94,000 square ft. The main gymnasium consists of 3 regulation Basketball courts, 5 Volleyball courts, 4 Tennis courts, indoor track and seating capacity of 4,000. The facility also includes 4 Racquetball and 4 Squash courts, Golf simulator, large weight training complex, modern state of the art training room, men’s and women’s locker rooms, showers
and lavatories.
Farmingdale State Rams Women's Head Volleyball Coach Patric Santiago will direct and oversee Future Stars Volleyball program.
Patric Santiago was named the Head Coach of Women's Volleyball in July 2009. Santiago, a 2006 Farmingdale State graduate, has been an Assistant Coach of five sports over the past three years, and also serves as an Adjunct Professor of the volleyball, golf, and racquetball PED classes. The Rams have been a perennial power in the Skyline Conference throughout Saniago's time with the program. An active member of USA Volleyball for three years, Santiago has competed in AVP Tour events, as well as Open level competition around the country for many years. While competing for the Rams, Santiago was a 4-sport athlete, excelling in soccer, golf, indoor and outdoor track. He is the only student-athlete to ever
compete in four sports in school history and was Captain of all four sports during his career.
Coach, Danielle MacKnight begins her fifth year as head coach of the Adelphi University women's volleyball team after serving as interim head coach for part of the 2005 season. Under her direction, the 2007 season proved to be a record setting one as she coached the Panthers to a 7-2 ECC record, finishing in second place, the highest conference finish to date. They finished 27-8 which is a school record for wins including an 11-game win streak which set another school record.
Summer 2011 Featured Clinician!
Future Stars is delighted to announce that Shellane Ogoshi, head coach of the CW Post Pioneers Volleyball program will be a featured clinician this summer! Coach Ogoshi was the 2009 ECC Co-Coach of the year, and was a former standout student athlete for the Hofstra Pride. Future Stars are delighted that our Volleyball Campers this summer will have the opportunity to learn from one of the leading coaches in the area.
