Baseball Camp at Southampton

Future Stars is delighted to offer Baseball as one of our core sports-specific
summer programs. Summer 2012 at the Southampton Town Recreation Center
will offer three weekly sessions.

The program is designed to teach and inspire campers aged 6-12 to become better
individual and team players.

With the perfect balance of skill building, sportsmanship, competition, and fun, campers will enjoy a memorable experience. Players will work individually and as teams to improve their offense and defense, hitting and average, throwing and fielding, and speed/agility. Through our philosophy of small group instruction, campers will maximize their gains during their stay with us. Directors and staff are experienced coaches who work with various local Baseball organizations and leagues throughout the year.

Baseball NEW YEAR-ROUND TENNIS FACILITY AT SYS NOW OPEN!
Featuring 4 har-tru courts bubbled for indoor and 4 deco all weather courts offering year-round Adult and Junior Programs. SYS opened up its doors to the 55,000 square foot facility in June 2003 with the name Southampton Town Recreation Center.  The facility is a world-class athletic facility featuring world-class equipment and world-class services and the facility is one of the top sports and recreation facility in the United States.
During the year a broad array of activities has flourished within
the Center and since the Summer of 2004, Future Stars has been providing the Summer Camp programs.    

SYS outdoor facilities include several playing fields, Baseball diamonds and swimming pool.

SYS indoor facilities include  Center Rink (90 x 135 sq. ft.)    Basketball  (lined for college play  94x50 ) , Soccer , Lacrosse, Roller Hockey, Tennis etc. The center rink has batter boards and netting for safe uninterrupted play. Elmaleh Stanton Squash Center -4 Singles Courts and 1 Doubles Courts. Blue Court & Red Court (84x 50 sq. ft.) -Basketball (lined for high school play) Volleyball and Recreational games. Cages Room  - 2 batting cages: baseball/softball Elevated Track - 1/7 of a mile. "A" Green Room (1,600 sq ft.) - multi purpose room. "B" Red Room (600 Sq ft.) - multi purpose room. Aerobics Room (800 sq. ft.) Men's and Women's Locker Rooms - showers, bathrooms and lockers.

Director:

Future Stars welcomes back for his 7th year, Coach Jonathan Tortorella, a Southampton High School Graduate where he played Varsity baseball. He currently works at Pierson Middle/High School as a Physical Education Teacher and this is his 2nd year as the Varsity Baseball Coach at Pierson High School. Tortorella graduated from University of Massachusetts - Amherst with a Bachelor's in Sports Management in 2003 and from Springfield (MA) College with a Master's in Physical Education in 2005.
