Spotlight On: Anthony Bonsignore
“Future Stars Camps has been around for 37 years and keeping it fresh while maintaining the values that have made this summer day camp a family tradition are why parents, who attended as kids, want their children to come here.” — Jordan Snider

Meet Anthony Bonsignore, Director of Multi Sports and Youth Leadership Program, who has been with Future Stars Camps for 14 years. Anthony is also a teacher at the Horace Mann School, NYC.
What do you do when you are not at Future Stars Camps?
Anthony: When I am not at camp, I am either with my Kindergarten students or coaching football, baseball and basketball.
What are some of your favorite activities?
Anthony: I enjoy staying active exploring New York City and traveling outside the city. I’m a big foodie and love trying new restaurants and I’ll usually have my camera with me. I enjoy looking at the city through the lens at times.
What is your favorite memory of camp?
Anthony: My favorite memory is watching the Multi Sports staff laughing with the campers each day. It’s a unique relationship being able to connect with a child through sports. Through these experiences, it is always important that while we are coaching the campers, we’re also learning and growing with them and the campers realize this at a certain point in the summer. The goal is to use sports as a means to help build character and confidence while gaining skills in a comfortable atmosphere. Every day is a fun adventure.
What are you looking forward to this summer?
Anthony: This summer, I am looking forward to seeing the returning veteran campers who have been with us for years, step up and assume a leadership role through our Youth Leadership Program. I enjoy watching these campers grow and take on more responsibility and they’re an asset to our program.
What do you appreciate most about your job?
Anthony: Future Stars has helped me grow personally and professionally. The culture and atmosphere of a hands-on active learning environment with coaches and educators from the Tri-State area is what I believe makes Future Stars Camps unique. Once the summer kicks in and connections are made, it feels less like coming to work and more about hanging with friends.
What is your favorite quote?
“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education.” — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
