Why Do Families Choose 3 or More Weeks of Camp?

Why do families choose 3 or more weeks of camp?

I love this question. It's not just "more equals better." Real magic happens when kids have time to make camp feel like their place.

A week of camp is enough for a kid to feel safe and comfortable, work on their skills, have a good time, and make some great memories.

But with multiple weeks, something different happens. Campers really level up, and camp starts to feels like home. They've learned every nook and cranny of our campus. They probably have a favorite spot, and even know where we hide the good snacks. The friendships go harder, and the inside jokes get funnier. Our routines and schedules are second nature, making transitions a breeze.

More time gives us the opportunity to lock in their confidence, build stronger muscle memory, and support steady progression. That might look like better shooting form in basketball, improved footwork in soccer, or more consistent technique in tennis or baseball. It could also look like refining a design for the 3D printer, debugging code instead of just writing it, testing or reworking experiments, taking an idea from sketch to finished sculpture, or mastering an advanced choreography sequence.

I also really love it when kids have the time to mix-and-match programs. We've got over 25 comprehensive, well-run camps to choose from. They can spend more time mastering something they already love AND they can also try something new that they're curious about. More time at camp means they don't have to choose. It gives them a unique opportunity to do it all.
