Getting to and from Future Stars Basketball Purchase Camp is simple.
Families can choose convenient door-to-door transportation or handle drop-off and pick-up themselves. All buses are air-conditioned, labeled with the Future Stars insignia, and staffed with certified drivers and camp counselors to ensure campers’ safety and comfort every step of the way.
Self Drive:
Families are always welcome to drop off and pick up directly at Purchase College. Standard drop-off is between 8:45–9:00 am, with pick-up between 3:45–4:00 pm. Early drop-off and extended day options are also available for added flexibility.
Local Transportation:
Pick-up times range from 8:15–8:45 am, with drop-off times from 4:15–5:00 pm. Routes serve White Plains, Rye, Scarsdale, Harrison, and nearby neighborhoods.
NYC Transportation:
For campers commuting by train, the Manhattan via the Hutchinson River Parkway or Metro-North stations along the Harlem Line all make it easy to get to camp. Pick-up times range from 7:30–8:00 am, with all buses leaving the city by 8:00 aml Drop-off times vary, and arre typically from 4:45–5:30 pm.

Charlie co-founded Future Stars Camps and served as the very first Camp Director when the program launched in 1980. With more than four decades of experience leading camps, he has been shaping meaningful youth experiences from the very beginning.
A lifelong athlete, Charlie played tennis in high school, in college, and on the 1976 WATCH circuit before turning to coaching. He went on to serve as Director of Tennis at Banksville Racket Club, Westhampton Bath & Tennis, Hampton Athletic Club, and Green Hollow Tennis Club.
Today, as Director of Operations and Director for Purchase College, Charlie combines his collegiate athletic background, deep coaching expertise, and proven leadership to create a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment for every camper.
Campers are grouped
by age and skill level, with attention to social needs to make sure every child feels comfortable. Friend requests are honored whenever possible to help kids play and train alongside familiar faces.
The core camp day at Purchase runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
A typical day at camp varies by location. Generally speaking, day camp runs from 9am to 3pm with options for early drop-off and extended care available until 6pm. Campers spend their days practicing, developing skills, playing, and engaging with other campers.
Future Stars maintains one staff member for every 4 to 8 campers in almost every case. Low ratios ensure personalized attention and a supportive environment, with group sizes adjusted by age and program focus.

Morning drop-off is typically 8:45–9:00 am and afternoon pick-up is 3:45–4:00 pm at Purchase College’s Nold Hall Athletic Center. Staff supervise all arrivals and dismissals. Early drop-off and late pick-up are available for a fee.
For added flexibility, families can add early drop-off (from 8:00 am) or extended day (until 5:30 pm).
Families in eligible areas can also use door-to-door transportation with a camp counselor onboard. Exact bus times are communicated weekly.
At most locations, campers bring their own lunch. Snacks are provided in the afternoon. A morning snack should be brought from home. Along with a snack, please be sure to pack a water bottle!
Some campuses also offer lunch programs. If your child has any dietary restrictions, contact your local camp office for accommodations to ensure camp food and allergy safety.
Camp runs rain or shine. If storms occur, campers move into Purchase College’s athletic facilities, where indoor basketball courts and multipurpose spaces allow training and activities to continue safely.
Door-to-door transportation is available in Westchester, Greenwich, and most of Manhattan. Air-conditioned buses are Future Stars-branded and include a counselor onboard for supervision. Pick-up and drop-off times vary by route and are confirmed weekly.
Yes. Campers enjoy daily swimming in the Purchase College pool, supervised by certified lifeguards. Swim time is a refreshing and fun break from time on the courts.
