ELEVATE YOUR GAME ON AND OFF THE COURT

Future Stars Basketball Camp teaches campers to become well-rounded, team-oriented players. Campers receive specialized instruction focusing on dribbling, ball handling, passing, shooting, and rebounding.
Experienced coaches guide campers through small group instruction, close supervision, and quality gameplay, and emphasize sportsmanship and teamwork. Campers are grouped by age and ability.

Basketball Camp Facilities at Farmingdale

  • Field house gymnasium
  • 4 Indoor courts
  • 2 outdoor glass backboard courts
  • 4 portable hoops
  • 4 outdoor adjustable hoops
  • Grass athletic fields for drills, warm-ups, and recreational activities
  • Inflatable water slides, slip 'n slides and sprinkler games to cool off and have fun
  • Outdoor game tent for recreational activities
  • Various water and shade stations to cool off and take breaks

Building Skills That Last Beyond Basketball Camp

  • Dribbling – Build confident ball control with both hands, smooth direction changes, and solid protection from defenders
  • Shooting – Improve shooting form, accuracy, and consistency from various spots on the court
  • Free Throws – Develop a steady free-throw routine to stay calm, focused, and reliable at the line
  • Ball Handling – Strengthen overall control with drills that boost quick reactions and smooth movement with the ball
  • Footwork – Sharpen balance, pivots, and movement to create better scoring chances and stronger defense
  • Court Awareness – Learn to read the game, make smart decisions, and understand court positioning
  • Teamwork – Practice communicating, sharing the ball, and creating a positive team environment
  • Sportsmanship –  Build respect, fair play, and a positive attitude on and off the court

Directions to Future Stars Farmingdale

Future Stars Farmingdale is located at Farmingdale State College, centrally located on the Nassau-Suffolk border.

The campus is conveniently located on Route 110, minutes from the LIE (Route. 495), and set between both the Northern and Southern State Parkways, directly across from Adventureland.

Our seasonal summer office is located in the Nold Hall Athletic Center.

BASKETBALL CAMP DAILY SCHEDULE

9:00 am: Orientation/Warm-up

9:15 am: Instructional Stations/Fundamentals

10:15 am: Offense/Defense Drills

11:15 am: Half-court/Full-court Scrimmages

1:00 pm: Lunch

2:00 pm: Water Park/Game Tent Activities

2:15 pm: Situational Play/Skills Contests

2:45 pm: League Play

3:45 pm: Dismissal

Glen Steinberg

Basketball Director

Coach Steinberg has spent over 20 years shaping players at every level of the game. From leading three youth basketball teams to National Championship victories to serving as head coach at the Vince Carter Academy, and coaching for Adidas, he combines experience with a passion for teaching the game.

Coach Steinberg’s training programs have helped players take their game to college, international, and NBA competition.
