3D Printing & Design at Future Stars Old Westbury is part of our comprehensive STEAM Education camp experience. - Summer 2024 Dates = July 15-19.
STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math)
Technology helps us communicate, Math is the language, Science and Engineering are the process for thinking, and Art helps us merge form with function. All of these can lead to innovation.
An exciting weekly session developed for upper elementary and middle school aged Boys & Girls, this program follows a project based curriculum.
Campers will learn to be creative using an online 3D Modelling program (Primarily Tinkercad), following step-by-step 3D design lessons, as they learn the skills necessary to design almost anything they can imagine!
Campers will also learn how to manufacture downloaded objects, in addition to their own designs using our 3D Printers.
Utilizing the state-of-the-art facilities on campus, campers will learn in collegiate classrooms and/or computer labs with all necessary equipment provided.
A typical daily schedule is available on our STEAM Education Camps page , with campers supplementing their curriculum work with the recreational swim, water slides, and recreational activity options.
