Future Stars Baseball Camp is designed to teach and inspire campers to become better players. Quality instruction and state-of-the-art facilities create a safe and innovative learning environment for athletes of all ages and skill levels.

All areas of the game are thoroughly addressed through a variety of skill sessions, field awareness, and situational play. With the perfect balance of skill building, sportsmanship, competition, and fun, campers will enjoy a memorable experience.

Building Skills That Last Beyond Baseball Camp

  • Batting – Build strong hitting fundamentals with focus on stance, mechanics, and consistent contact

Oregon Middle School is conveniently located in heart of the Patchogue-Medford School District in Suffolk County.

The school is easily accessible from Sunrise Highway and is just minutes from Route 112, a major north–south roadway connecting the South Shore to the Long Island Expressway.

Its central location makes it convenient for families throughout the Patchogue-Medford community and surrounding Suffolk County areas.

Meet the Director

SUF_Rob Machado

Rob Machado

Baseball Director

Coach Rob brings extensive coaching and instructional experience to the field. Since 2019, he has coached with the Long Island Jr. Ducks, specializing in pitching and fielding development, and currently serves as Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach at Brentwood High School. A former varsity first baseman and relief pitcher, Rob combines playing experience with a strong teaching background, including five years as an instructor at Pro Game Athletics.

Rob emphasizes proper mechanics, skill progression, and overall athletic development to help young athletes build a strong foundation in the game. Currently pursuing a degree in Adaptive Physical Education, he is committed to creating a structured, educational, and supportive environment where campers can grow both on and off the field.

Charlie VanDercook

Director of Operations and Director for Purchase College since 1993

 

Charlie co-founded Future Stars Camps and served as the very first Camp Director when the program launched in 1980. With more than four decades of experience leading camps, he has been shaping meaningful youth experiences from the very beginning.

A lifelong athlete, Charlie played tennis in high school, in college, and on the 1976 WATCH circuit before turning to coaching. He went on to serve as Director of Tennis at Banksville Racket Club, Westhampton Bath & Tennis, Hampton Athletic Club, and Green Hollow Tennis Club.

Today, as Director of Operations and Director for Purchase College, Charlie combines his collegiate athletic background, deep coaching expertise, and proven leadership to create a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment for every camper.
