BattleBots at Future Stars Old Westbury is part of our comprehensive STEAM Education camp experience. - Summer 2024 Dates = July 22-26.
STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math)
Technology helps us communicate, Math is the language, Science and Engineering are the process for thinking, and Art helps us merge form with function. All of these can lead to innovation.
An exciting weekly session developed for elementary aged Boys & Girls, this program follows a project based curriculum and includes plenty of opportunities to duel in our 'LEGO Battle Ring'.
Campers will look to combine construction, design, and programming concepts as they build their own mighty bots using an assortment of LEGO Technic pieces. Campers will explore mechanics and engineering as they seek to become master builders.
Teachers will help guide our campers as they plan the tactics and strategies to help them prevail in the 'ring'. Team-work and problem solving will be key, as our campers look to finetune their bots for the grand finale challenge!
Utilizing the state-of-the-art facilities on campus, campers will learn in collegiate classrooms and/or computer labs with all necessary equipment provided.
A typical daily schedule is available on our STEAM Education Camps page , with campers supplementing their curriculum work with the recreational swim, water slides, and recreational activity options.
