Future Stars have exclusive use of the SUNY Old Westbury Swimming Pool during the summer camp season
*The heated pool is located indoors at the Clark Athletic Center
*The pool is maintained by SUNY Old Westbury Athletics Department, and has a certified pool operator (CPO) on-site throughout the summer.
*The pool is inspected by NY State (Nassau County Deparment of Health)
Campers in our Swim Camp and Rising Stars programs receive swim instruction each day.
Campers in our Explorers programs receive swim instruction every other day as well as having the option for a daily recreational swim period.
Campers in all other programs have the option for a daily recreational swim period.
Our aquatics staff is highly qualified and possess numerous certifications including, Nassau County DOH Lifeguard, WSI, Lifeguard Management, First-Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.
Pool and camper safety is a primary concern, and pool 'rules and procedures' are presented weekly to all campers who use the pool.
Every Monday 'new' campers are 'swim tested' to determine swim level and ability, with regular buddy checks taken by our aquatics staff.
In addition to the pool, we also host our 'Future Stars Waterslides & Splash Zones' for campers to enjoy additional outdoor cool-off activities.
Locker rooms and changing areas are available for Boys & Girls, and campers are supervised by our staff throughout to ensure a smooth transition.
