ACTION-PACKED DAYS, LIFELONG MEMORIES

Campers should arrive hungry for adventure and new experiences, willing to take personal risks, explore new friendships, and be prepared for personal growth. Future Stars Adventure Camp offers an exciting variety of daily adventures that focus on a range of physical skills and promote personal growth in a social setting. Each new location comes with its own unique challenges, but the adventurous spirit and growth mindset are always along for the ride.

Adventure Camp is a one-week session for boys and girls entering grades 5-10. Experienced Physical Education teachers direct and oversee the program, with additional expertise offered from on-site staff at the various trip locations. A limited enrollment will ensure plenty of active play and adventure in this unique and rewarding program.

Easy Transportation to Westchester

We are proud to offer door-to-door transportation from Westchester, Greenwich, and most of Manhattan. All buses are air-conditioned and clearly labeled with the Future Stars logo. Drivers are certified by the bus company, and a camp counselor will be monitoring campers at all times.

Typical pick-up and drop-off times vary depending on your spot on the route. We will call the week before camp with your bus times, as the times change weekly. For campers who spend an extended time on the bus, we do our best to reverse the route. Our goal is to make the ride fair and comfortable for all, while maintaining a safe and efficient schedule.

Local Transportation (Westchester, Greenwich):
Pick-up times vary between 8:15 am and 8:45 am.
Drop-off times vary between 4:15 pm and 5:00 pm.

NYC Transportation:
Pick-up times vary between 7:30 am and 8:00 am.
(all buses should leave the city by 8:00 am).
Drop-off times vary between 4:45 pm and 5:30 pm.

INTINERARY

MONDAY Tree Top Adrenaline Boundless Adventures & Swim Assessment Purchase, NY

Campers will tackle obstacles, challenge their courage, test their strength, and have a blast in the process. On a comprehensive aerial park built right on the Purchase campus, campers will experience swings, zip lines, balance elements, and high-altitude smiles. In the afternoon, campers will complete a swim assessment and participate in a simulated ocean rescue.

TUESDAY Paddle Power •  Hudson River Recreation Rye Town Beach Park, NY

Campers learn the basics of kayaking from experienced instructors at Rye Beach, a sheltered portion of the Long Island Sound. They'll learn kayaking skills and terminology, essential safety gear, and the tips and tricks to get comfortable on their kayak. Following their paddle, campers will engage in beach games and leisure activities, and will have access to the beach's snack bar.

WEDNESDAY Climbing Ninjas and Bowling
High Exposure Northvale, NJ  New City Bowl New City, NY

Campers enjoy a fun-filled morning of indoor rock climbing, bouldering, Ninja Warrior challenges, and a parkour skills course! After their climb, they'll head to New City Bowl for a fun afternoon of team bowling.

THURSDAY Surfs Up! • Surf with Chris Arverne, NY 

A fan-favorite! Campers start their surf day with a land lesson that quickly transfers into the surf of Rockaway Beach. On 8-10 foot foam surfboards, campers ride waves to the shoreline, hooting and hollering with excitement the entire ride. Campers can also play in the shin-deep surf or participate in other beach games and activities if they choose not to surf. 

FRIDAY Thrillz/Jumpz Danbury, CT

The options are endless as we head to Connecticut’s #1 Indoor adrenaline park. Campers will challenge themselves on obstacles such as climbing walls, giant swings, ziplines, log rolls, super slides, and a state-of-the-art trampoline park. Our visit at Thrillz and Jumpz will conclude with a pizza party in our private party room. The fun continues into the afternoon as we head to Spins bowling for some team building, bowling, and gaming.

Meet the Director

James Tranchida Purchase Adventure Camp Director

Jamie Tranchida

Adventure Camp Director

Jamie "Coach T" graduated SUNY Cortland with degrees in Physical Education and Fitness Development. He later received his Master's Degree in Curriculum Development from The University of Western Connecticut. He has been a PE teacher in the Briarcliff Manor School District for 15 years, coached football at the Modified, JV, and Varsity levels, and Spring Varsity Track and Field for five seasons.

Coach T has carried his passion for traveling and the outdoors to 25 countries where he has hiked, biked, surfed, climbed, camped, kayaked, and learned about different cultures along the way. He completed a 50-day outdoor adventure course for educators with Outward Bound in Oregon, where he spent time learning how to develop outdoor programs that develop self-confidence, leadership skills, teamwork, cooperation, communication, and risk management in addition to the outdoor adventure skills of climbing, whitewater rafting, mountaineering, and wilderness first response.

Additional teachers and coaches will also work with the campers throughout the week, and staff are First Aid CPR/AED Certified. Additional safety staff and/or lifeguards will also be on site at specific trip locations.
