IMAGINATION AND GAME DESIGN COLLIDE

Future Stars Roblox Developer Camp campers will learn to build and code their own games in Roblox Studio, exploring 3D modeling and programming with Lua. Campers will create unique experiences, from thrilling Obbys (obstacle course games) to immersive adventure games, while mastering game mechanics and design principles. Led by a specialized instructor, this camp is perfect for aspiring game developers and creative minds ready to bring their ideas to life.

  • Roblox Studio Fundamentals – Learn to navigate Roblox Studio, including tools for building, scripting, and designing game environments

Easy Transportation to Westchester

We are proud to offer door-to-door transportation from Westchester, Greenwich, and most of Manhattan. All buses are air-conditioned and clearly labeled with the Future Stars logo. Drivers are certified by the bus company, and a camp counselor will be monitoring campers at all times.

Typical pick-up and drop-off times vary depending on your spot on the route. We will call the week before camp with your bus times, as the times change weekly. For campers who spend an extended time on the bus, we do our best to reverse the route. Our goal is to make the ride fair and comfortable for all, while maintaining a safe and efficient schedule.

Local Transportation (Westchester, Greenwich):
Pick-up times vary between 8:15 am and 8:45 am.
Drop-off times vary between 4:15 pm and 5:00 pm.

NYC Transportation:
Pick-up times vary between 7:30 am and 8:00 am.
(all buses should leave the city by 8:00 am).
Drop-off times vary between 4:45 pm and 5:30 pm.

11:50 am: Lunch/Field Play

12:50 pm: Recreational Swim period

Shane Megley

Shane Megley

STEAM Director

Shane Megley brings extensive experience in the STEAM field, having worked with students ages 5 to 17 for many years. As part of the Future Stars and MakeInspires partnership, he helps deliver cutting-edge programs that spark creativity, curiosity, and exciting hands-on discoveries for every camper.

A lifelong learner with a passion for storytelling, Shane has explored a wide range of artistic and technical disciplines. While writing remains his primary creative outlet, he has also developed strong skills in game development, video production, graphic design, and 3D printing. He earned his BS in Interactive Media and Game Design from SUNY Polytechnic Institute of Technology, where he incorporated marketing and advertising into his studies, reflecting his multifaceted approach to learning and creation.

Shane continually pursues new technologies and skills, guided by the belief that there is always more to discover. He is dedicated to inspiring innovation in the next generation of makers and helping each camper explore and grow within the world of STEAM.
