    Future Stars Pickleball Camp is designed to introduce new players to the game, develop their strokes, learn the rules and compete, or expand upon already learned skills for experienced players.

    Pickleball is a paddle sport played using a perforated ball on a tennis-type court that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. The rules are simple and the game can be enjoyed by all ages and skill levels. Pickleball can be played as both singles and doubles formats.

    Throughout the week, campers will work on their grips, stroke development, dink shots, serves & returns, specialty shots, rules, etiquette and more! Campers will come away as better players with a new enthusiasm for the game while also making lifelong friends.     

     

    INCLEMENT WEATHER

     *In the event of inclement weather before camp begins, we will send out a notification that campers will spend the day at our main campus, SCCC Eastern Campus, for indoor/outdoor camp activities. If rain begins during the camp day, we may transport campers to SCCC to be indoors. If we begin the day at SCCC and rain stops, we may transport campers back to The Barn in Westhampton to resume outdoor play.*

    Future Stars Pickleball Camp

    TYPICAL DAY

    12:30pm: Orientation

    12:45pm: Dynamic Warm-up

    1:00pm: Drills and Instruction(Stroke of the day)

    1:45pm: Competitive games based on strokes practiced

    2:15pm: Off court activity (agility, footwork, etc).

    2:45pm: Match Play

    3:30pm: Departure

    Typical Day activities, sports & times are subject to change.

    Sportsmanship is more than just a handshake at the end of a game. We encourage our campers to honor differences and celebrate similarities of everyone in our community, all the while playing hard and playing fair.

    Our S.T.A.R.S. acronym tells our campers and parents of what it means to be a part of the Future Stars Southampton family. We aim to help our campers understand the value and interconnectedness of Safety, Teamwork, Attitude, Responsibility, and Sportsmanship. Through fun and engaging activities each day of every camp week, our staff of professional coaches/educators emphasizes one of these values, discussing its importance and encouraging campers to recognize the power they hold to contribute positively to a community or a team. Whether on the baseball field, in a chess match, or on a paddle board, we strive to equip every camper with the tools to be a Future Star for any community they may be a part of!

    Future Stars Westhampton-Riverhead is located at Suffolk County Community College Eastern Campus in Riverhead. This brand new facility features recreational indoor and outdoor spaces, a soccer field, outdoor and indoor basketball courts, outdoor volleyball courts, and a 25-yard indoor pool.
     
    Tennis Camp is held just a few minutes away at Aspatuck Tennis Club, located in Westhampton Beach. The club has 9 state-of-the-art Har-Tru tennis courts, a club house, pro shop, and locker rooms.
