Robo Racing at Future Stars Old Westbury is part of our comprehensive STEAM Education camp experience. - Summer 2024 Dates = August 5-9.
STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math)
Technology helps us communicate, Math is the language, Science and Engineering are the process for thinking, and Art helps us merge form with function. All of these can lead to innovation.
An exciting weekly session developed for upper elementary and middle school aged Boys & Girls, this program follows a project based curriculum.
Campers will join our summer robotics racing team! From building a car chassis to the physics of speed and gravity, this camp is designed for enthusiasts that love to build and create, but also enjoy thinking of the science behind racing and figuring out how to better design their vehicles for peak performance.
From the initial designs through to functional models, our campers will work on racing vehicles and learn about the modes of control from manual to programmable with plenty of collaborative learning and fun.
Utilizing the state-of-the-art facilities on campus, campers will learn in collegiate classrooms and/or computer labs with all necessary equipment provided.
A typical daily schedule is available on our STEAM Education Camps page , with campers supplementing their curriculum work with the recreational swim, water slides, and recreational activity options.
