Future Stars Volleyball Camp is designed for players who want to develop their skills, improve their game, and reach their volleyball goals. It’s the perfect opportunity to sharpen your techniques and get game-ready before the school season begins.

Led by experienced, passionate coaches, campers master the fundamentals, refine mechanics, and gain plenty of real-game experience. Small-group and personal instruction throughout the week ensures every player gets the attention they need to grow.

The curriculum covers all aspects of the game, from serving and spiking to blocking and court strategy, preparing campers to compete with confidence and play their best volleyball.

Building Skills That Last Beyond Volleyball Camp

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Passing – Develop proper form, accuracy, and consistency to keep plays alive and set up effective attacks
  • Hitting – Learn controlled, powerful hitting techniques for smarter, more effective offensive plays
  • Spiking – Build explosive arm swing mechanics, timing, and approach footwork to deliver strong, confident spikes
  • Blocking and Serving – Improve blocking technique, timing, and positioning, along with serving accuracy, power, and variety

TACTICAL SKILLS

  • Offensive Systems – Understand attacking systems, rotations, and movement patterns that create scoring opportunities
  • Defensive Systems – Learn positioning, coverage, and reaction strategies that strengthen overall team defense

SCRIMMAGE SKILLS

  • Game Play – Apply skills in live, game-like situations to build confidence and volleyball IQ
  • Position Play – Focus on positional responsibilities, rotations, and on-court communication during structured scrimmages

PERFORMANCE SKILLS

  • Speed and Agility – Enhance quickness, reaction time, and overall movement through dynamic volleyball-focused drills
  • Plyometrics – Increase explosiveness, power, and vertical jump with volleyball-specific plyometric training
  • Game Management – Develop smart decision-making, situational awareness, and leadership on the court

The University of Southern Maine is located in the heart of Portland. The campus is conveniently located in the Oakdale neighborhood, just off Interstate 295 via the Forest Avenue exit, making it easily accessible by car from downtown and surrounding areas.

9:00 am: Stretching / Warmup

9:15 am: Technique & Fundamental Work

10:15 am: Offense & Defense Systems

11:15 am: Skills Challenge

12:15 pm: Lunch

1:15 pm: Swimming

Volleyball Director

Beth enters her fourth year as the Volleyball Camp Director at Future Stars, where her attention to detail and high standards have helped elevate the program year after year. She brings extensive coaching experience at the travel, club, and college levels and serves as the Director of Westchester Volleyball New York throughout the year. Beth’s leadership, passion for the sport, and commitment to player development make her an integral part of the Future Stars team.
