    Future Stars Flag Football Camp creates an opportunity for all players, ages 6-14, to transition into the sport of football without contact.

    Campers develop or continue to expand their football skills on both the offensive and defensive side of the game, including footwork, receiving, passing, covering, field awareness and individual work.

    Under the experienced instruction of Coach Matt Anthony, campers are taught the correct techniques needed to excel on the field in a safe and fun environment.

    9am Morning Meeting

    9:15am Dynamic Warmup/Stretching

    9:45am Offensive & Defensive Fundamentals

    10:45am 1v1’s/Skills Competitions

    12pm Lunch

    1:30pm Pool/Water Slide and non-football activity

    2:30pm League Competitions (5v5)

    3:45pm Wrap Up

    4:00pm Departure

    Typical Day activities, sports & times are subject to change.

    Flag Football Director Matthew Anthony

    Matt is entering his second year as Flag Football Head Coach at the Riverhead location. Matt is an experienced educator and head coach teaching physical education in upstate New York before transitioning to Fitness Instructor and coach at Southampton Youth Services. Matt attended the University of Brockport where he studied sports management and coaching in his undergrad before completing his Masters degree in Athletic Administration. Matt has five years coaching experience coaching football and basketball at the middle school and high school levels along with playing four years of college football making team captain his final year. During leisure times Matt enjoys cooking, runs on the boardwalk, working out, and traveling. Matt is excited to get the ball rolling teaching campers about the game of football while creating long lasting memories and fun.

    Sportsmanship is more than just a handshake at the end of a game. We encourage our campers to honor differences and celebrate similarities of everyone in our community, all the while playing hard and playing fair.

    Our S.T.A.R.S. acronym tells our campers and parents of what it means to be a part of the Future Stars Southampton family. We aim to help our campers understand the value and interconnectedness of Safety, Teamwork, Attitude, Responsibility, and Sportsmanship. Through fun and engaging activities each day of every camp week, our staff of professional coaches/educators emphasizes one of these values, discussing its importance and encouraging campers to recognize the power they hold to contribute positively to a community or a team. Whether on the baseball field, in a chess match, or on a paddle board, we strive to equip every camper with the tools to be a Future Star for any community they may be a part of!

    Future Stars Westhampton-Riverhead is located at Suffolk County Community College Eastern Campus in Riverhead. This brand new facility features recreational indoor and outdoor spaces, a soccer field, outdoor and indoor basketball courts, outdoor volleyball courts, and a 25-yard indoor pool.
     
    Tennis Camp is held just a few minutes away at Aspatuck Tennis Club, located in Westhampton Beach. The club has 9 state-of-the-art Har-Tru tennis courts, a club house, pro shop, and locker rooms.
