Tori King
Tori's journey in the world of dance began at the age of 3, where she embarked on a dual path, concurrently training as both a competitive gymnast and a passionate dancer. Her repertoire includes a diverse range of styles, showcasing her proficiency in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pointe, Modern, and Hip-Hop. Graduating with honors from Montclair State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a Minor in Business, Tori's academic achievements laid the foundation for her future. During her time at MSU, Tori had the honor of studying under renowned figures such as Bill T. Jones, Larry Keigwin, and Andrea Miller. Additionally, she interned with Doug Varone and graced the stage at the prestigious Joyce Theater during the Martha Graham 2015 company season. Post-graduation, Tori took her talents to new heights as an official Brooklyn Bolts Cheerleader for the FXFL Brooklyn Bolts Football Team, showcasing her dynamic skills beyond traditional dance settings. Since 2010, Tori has been a dedicated dance educator, imparting her knowledge and passion to a diverse range of students. Currently serving as the Co-Owner, Director, and Instructor at Joy Dance Academy, Tori is deeply committed to her mission of introducing the joy of dance to her students. Her approach is rooted in establishing a meaningful connection on an individual level, fostering not only technical skill but also a profound appreciation for the art of dance. Tori's journey is a testament to her unwavering dedication, artistry, and the transformative power of dance.
Michelle Rosante
Michelle's dance journey commenced at the age of 6, immersing herself in the intricacies of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pointe, Modern, and Hip-Hop. The boundless enthusiasm and energy she cultivated during her formative years as a dancer seamlessly transitioned into a fulfilling career as an educator. Throughout her college journey at Adelphi University, where she pursued a BFA in Dance, Michelle continued to share her passion for dance through teaching. Her commitment to both her studies and teaching concurrently underscores her dedication to the art form. Amidst her academic pursuits, Michelle had the privilege of performing and studying under the guidance of esteemed professionals, including Frank Augustyn, Ali Pourfarrokh, Leda Meredith, Trebien Pollard, Nick Ross, Sharon Wong, Darrah Carr, and Marnie Thomas. With a teaching tenure spanning over 18 years, Michelle has honed her craft, inspiring countless students along the way. In a testament to her infectious joy and commitment to dance education, Michelle proudly serves as Co-Owner, Director and Instructor of Joy Dance Academy alongside her partner, Tori King. Together, they bring a dynamic blend of expertise, passion, and joy to the dance community they lead.
About Joy Dance Academy
Joy Dance Academy is a non-competitive recreational dance school located in Southampton, New York. We pride our studio on creativity, technique, individuality, and most importantly, the joy in dance. At Joy Dance Academy, we believe that the relationship between dance and happiness go hand in hand. Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment for our dancers to explore and create their own personal relationship with dance. “We believe that the art of dance will bring joy, happiness and physical well-being to all who participate. Future Stars Southampton is located at 1370A Majors Path, just minutes away from the Southampton Village, making it a central, convenient location for campers coming from all over. Our facility is home to the Hamptons’ premier summer camp and indoor/outdoor tennis club. Operating at the Southampton Youth Services Recreation Center (SYS), our summer camp campus includes 8 tennis courts (4 har-tru, 4 hard), an outdoor pool, three indoor basketball courts, a grass soccer field and indoor soccer/futsol rink, classroom space, a turf baseball field, and more.
Future Stars Southampton is a one-stop shop for summer activities in the Hamptons. From June – September, our facilities host 14+ camp programs: Art, Baseball, Basketball, Chess, Flag Football, Golf, Lacrosse, Little Stars, Multi-Sports, Soccer, Adventure, Tennis, and Tiny Stars.
Sean Johnson:
Sean has been working at FSSH since 2015, where he joined the team as the turf director. He is now the general manager and oversees all year-round activities. Sean graduated with an economics degree and double minor in English and Spanish from Baruch College in New York City. There, he played DIII baseball. He has also been a baseball and basketball coach for 10+ years, with experience working with kids of all ages from NYC and the East End of Long Island.
Pablo Montesi:
Pablo Montesi is the tennis director at Future Stars Southampton. He has worked with Future Stars since he attended Benedictine College in Atchison, KS on an athletic scholarship. Pablo is responsible for coaching, staffing, and programming at the Southampton and Westhampton locations.
Shawn Smith:
Shawn Smith has been the Multi-Sport director at the Southampton location for six years. During the school year, he works as a PE teacher in the local Southampton school district.
Layla DeLuca:
Layla DeLuca has been a staple at Future Stars Summer Camp since 2013, and now directs our Little Stars and Tiny Stars programs. During the school year, she is a Preschool teacher in Tribeca.
Isaac Tran:
Isaac Tran is Future Stars Southampton's medical director and EMT. He is currently completing his pre-medicine bachelor's degree from SUNY Cortland.
