COVID Update: We have worked hard to ensure we can offer a safe version of our programming for Summer 2022, and Baseball Camp is no exception! We have made some changes, and we are prepared to provide each camper with a great experience this summer.

Future Stars Baseball Camp is designed to teach and inspire campers to become better athletes on and off the field.

With the perfect balance of skill building, sportsmanship, competition, and fun, children will enjoy a memorable experience.

DIRECTOR Neil D’Acierno is entering his fifth year as both Baseball and Basketball Camp director at Future Stars Southampton. Neil is an educator at The Kieve Leadership School in Nobleboro, Maine, with 9 years of baseball and basketball coaching experience.

He was a 4-year multi-sport athlete at Unity College and directed Hamptons Baseball Camp before joining Future Stars.

Neil is an experienced youth educator who prides himself on creating an inclusive and comfortable environment for campers to learn and grow in a positive manner, both on and off the field.

He's also an avid outdoorsman - so don't be surprised if your camper is suddenly identifying ospreys or red-tailed hawks in the sky - Coach Neil is known to pause an infield drill to observe any nearby wildlife!

Transportation

**Due to programming changes, transportation will not be offered during Summer 2022.**

Future Stars Southampton offers door-to-door transportation from Westhampton to Southampton village, excluding Dune Road and Meadow Lane. Anyone living east of Southampton village will be picked up at the Bridgehampton Starbucks on Montauk Highway.

To register for the bus service, a parent or guardian must register their camper at least one week in advance. So, if you need bus service for the week of June 8, registration must be complete and submitted to the office by Monday, June 1 no later than 9:00 AM.

We cannot register a camper for the bus after the deadline and late registrations will not be accepted. If a registration is submitted late, we cannot offer transportation for your camper. There will not be any exceptions made to late registrations.

Any changes made to the transportation schedule must be relayed to the main office via email. For example, if your camper is being picked up instead of taking the bus, if they are only taking the bus for select days, if they are only taking the bus one way, et cetera, the office must be notified directly. Please do not rely on third parties separate from the office staff to relay this important information appropriately and accurately. This includes counselors.

Transportation runs twice daily: once for 9:00 AM drop-off, and once for 4:00 PM pick-up. If a camper is in Little Stars, the camper will need to stay for the extended day program until 4:00 PM as there is not a bus available for the 2:00 PM dismissal. There is an additional charge for the extended day program. Please see the registration form for details.

Tiny Stars campers are too young for the bus service. Parents and guardians should arrange for proper drop-off and pick-up of Tiny Stars participants.

The cost of transportation is $170 per week, per camper. This price is non-negotiable. If a camper is not using the bus service for the whole week, they will not be prorated. There is not a sibling/household discount available for the bus service.

The bus routes are made on a weekly basis. Because parents can register their campers up to one week in advance, the office will not have an accurate pick-up or drop-off time for your stop until the week before you are using the bus service.

If your camper is enrolled for camp and transportation for multiple weeks out of the summer, please do not assume that the pick-up time will be the same every week. Our office will alert parents and guardians of their scheduled pick-up time no later than the Thursday before the start date of the camp week. So, if your camper is attending camp for the week of Monday, June 8, you can expect an email on Thursday, June 4.

Character

Safety is first for a reason. Ingrained in everything we do, safety paves the way for our campers to thrive in a healthy environment.
Teamwork challenges our campers to collaborate thoughtfully and teaches us that, “we are not on a team because we work together, we are on a team because we respect, trust, and care for one another.”
Attitude is everything, our coaches discuss both the good and the bad of attitudes; guiding campers to consider the power of an open and growth-oriented mind.
Responsibility fosters a supportive and thriving community, which takes effort from every single member. We encourage every camper to take ownership of their actions, just as they do their belongings.
Sportsmanship is more than just a handshake at the end of a game. We encourage our campers to honor differences and celebrate similarities of everyone in our community, all the while playing hard and playing fair.

What does it mean to be a Future Star?

Our STARS acronym tells the story to our campers and parents of what it means to be a part of the Future Stars Southampton family. We aim to help our campers understand the value and interconnectedness of Safety, Teamwork, Attitude, Responsibility, and Sportsmanship. To continue to do our utmost in promoting your campers’ growth, we utilize this succinct values model for campers to learn from and apply in any program they may attend. Each day, our coaches reinforce this well-rounded development in which values pave the way to fun and effective activities; providing campers innumerable opportunities to think creatively about the type of community member they are and wish to be. Whether on the baseball field, in a chess match, or on a paddle board, we strive to equip every camper with the tools to be a Future Star for any team they may be a part of!
